News Report: Alice & Salvador Dali
(Time, 1973-04-16)

Singer Alice Cooper is the head ghoul of Grand Guignol rock. Painter Salvador Dali is the grand Dada of shock work art. What could be more fitting than that Salvador should paint Alice? Schlock Rock's Godzilla
(Time, 1973-05-28)

By any musical standard, the Alice Cooper rock group is more shouting than something to shout about. Yet the teeny-boppers cannot seem to get enough these days of Alice Cooper (the name of both the leader and the group). The group's current twelve-week U.S. tour will probably gross more than $4.5 million before it winds up next weekend in New York's Madison Square Garden. ...

(Time, 1975-04-07)

Some might consider Rock Star Alice Cooper to be oral rot personified. Little do they know. Having dabbled with pythons and hanging by the neck, the hairy exponent of amplified Grand Guignol is rooting for pearly whiteness v. yucky blackness on his latest road tour, beginning this week....

Alice With Muppets: More shock rock
(Time, 1979-09-00)

Fit and well after three months in a New York sanitarium drying out his thirst for beer, Alice Cooper set out to prove that he was still the grand Dada of shock rock. When Cooper's appearance on TV's "Muppet Show" is broadcast next season, his fans will find that his singing still makes the blood run cold. Cooper has also designed a grisly new road show and a macabre LP titled "From The Inside" - the story of his detoxification. Promises Alice, "It will be the musical version of 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'." ...
