Brutal Planet Review

Alice Cooper - Brutal Planet (eagle records)
ALBUM OF THE WEEK

After nearly 30 years in music alice cooper is still going strong and just refuses to go away. on his latest offering, brutal planet, the title track kicks things off in aggressive style with a heavy grunge-soaked guitar sound which pretty much sets the tone for most of the album.

Tracks like sanctuary and the brilliant just the little things hit you for six with the sheer verocity of their production.

Highlights of the album have to be the exellent piano-driven ballad Take It Like A Woman and the derranged Pick up the Bones which has a more familiar alice cooper feel to it. overall the album offers a slight change in sound for alice with a harder grunge soundand feel to previous albums, but cooper's distinctive gritty vocal style is still there so fans won't be to disappointed.
