Cooper Sadness

Glen Buxton, guitarist for the original Alice Cooper band, died Oct. 19 at age 49 of complications from emphysema and pneumonia, says Cooper's manager, Toby Mamis. Buxton played on classic Cooper albums from the early 1970's such as "Love It To Death" "Killer" and "Billion Dollar Babies." Like Cooper in those days, Buxton was a hard-partying rocker. Mamis, out with Cooper at Spooky World this week, said Buxton had been straight for some time, "but it's very hard to get back what you've given away...He had been sick for a longtime." Buxton and Cooper had started the band together.
