Long Hair To No Hair - Kids Hear Quite A Tale

"Alice Cooper was scheduled to read to 200 kids Wednesday at Encanto School. Instead the kids were treated to Joe Garagiola. Cooper came down with the flu, so Gargiola was the pinch hitter. 'You were expecting a long-haired rock star,' Garagiola said. 'And you got a bald ball player instead.' The third-graders helped Garagiola along as he read Dr. Seuss' 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas', shouting out 'then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before! Maybe Christmas, he thought, dosen't come from a store. Maybe Christmas... perhaps... means a bit more!'... We hope Cooper will have recuperated by Saturday night. That's when the Phoenix College Chamber Singers join with the Phoenix Symphony for the first time. The free concert starts at 7 at his place of worship."
