Alice Cooper Live DVD and Halloween Shows

Alice Cooper made too big announcements last week. One he has a new concert DVD coming out at the end of September and also he announced two special Halloween shows and is inviting fans to become part of the show. Here are both announcements:

Alice Cooper is to play two very special shows on October 31st and November 1st at the Camden Roundhouse. For these performances, Alice will be joined by world-renowned alternative performer Jim Rose (of the infamous Jim Rose Circus) as well as Zodiac Mindwarp and The Love Reaction. For a period of 5 days only (ending 7th August), Alice will be accepting video submissions of 'sideshow and freak acts' to his website, www.alicecooper.com.

The best will be invited to a live audition on 9th August at The London Dungeon in London at 7pm where they will 'perform' in front of a panel of judges consisting of Alice himself, along with Nicky Horne and others to be announced. The freakiest and most outrageous sideshows will then become part of Alice Cooper's Halloween Night of Fear at The Roundhouse on 31st October and 1st November.

Speaking to Metal Hammer, Alice said: "London has its freaks and we want to be the people to bring them out. In the UK, Halloween isn't as big as it is in the states and we want to make it as big as Christmas!

When we asked him about what he wants to see from the forthcoming auditions, Alice said: "It doesn't have to be evil! I like bizarre things as much as I like seeing things that are evil. I've seen a couple of episodes of The X Factor so I know you've got freaks in London and I've walked the streets of Camden thinking "I'd like to have that guy in the show!"! I just want anything that's bizarre and makes you go "wow!"…or "eeeurch!", either's good with me."

Now about the DVD: On September 28th Alice Cooper is set to unleash himself on his legions of fans in one very special DVD concert spectacular!

The godfather of shock-rock Alice Cooper completed his 2009 Theatre of Death World Tour by filming the final show at London's legendary Hammersmith Apollo. The concert features many of Cooper's massive hits including School's Out, Im Eighteen and Poison, "Alice Cooper's Theatre Of Death" is a very different show than anyone has ever seen before. Always expect the unexpected from the unpredictable Alice Cooper...Fans of the ultimate Rock 'n' Roll showman won't be disappointed as Alice is subjected to guillotines, gallows and the electric chair on his way to being "killed" four times!
