Sandsharks

Rock musician Alice Cooper, former Suns player Tom Van Arsdale and 15 other Valley businessmen have become members of the ownership group for the Arizona Sandsharks of the Continental Indoor Soccer League.

Cooper pledged to "change the face of soccer" by having a makeup artist paint the goalkeeper's face before every game.

The Sandsharks will resume play June 14 following a one-year hiatus.
